dwarf lion made a meal of my peppermint shrimp

dwarf lion made a meal of my peppermint shrimp...

i came along to feed all my fish to find my dwarf lion had already eaten.... on closer in spection i see little red feelers pointing out its mouth....

i wondered where the other one went... so thats two pepermint shrimp and one cleaner shrimp its eaten...

i was hoping that as it was the last thing introduced the shrimps would be ok.

my blue trigger ignores the shrimp so does my porky puffer.

well a few less things to move i guess.

will be moving to a new house soon and am debating whether to store the fish at the LFS or move and setup in the one day...

will be taking the water in the tank in multiple containers and a water butt.

i have a SSB would the bottom of the tank glass be ok on moving? its 10mm thick 120cm wide and 40cm deep, or should i remove the sand???

also my LR has lots of living stuff in them should i put them in containers with heat packs or put them in a poly box dry for about 4hours tops.

apart from that really looking forward to moving.

if it's not a far move, I would suggest having about 30-40gallons of newly mixed SW waiting at the new place. Use ice chests to put all the rock, livestock, corals, etc. Depending on how much stuff you have, and whether the corals are attached to the LR, this could take several ice chests.
Keep another 40-50gallons of your old water- this will help restablish the bacteria without going through a brand new cycle.
As for the SSB, it's a tossup. If the tank has been setup awhile, you might be better off shop vacing it out and replacing it- the toxins that may be released may not be worth it. (Although it is a SSB, so you may be ok)
Good Luck
