Somethings not right here???

OKay i just did my tests for today and here is what i have.
I have not tested since Thursday.

Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-.5
Phosphate-0
Ph-8.4-8.6 (can't tell the exact colour)
Calcium-420
Kh-6.7

So what is up with my Kh?

Need some opinions on what has gone wrong and how to fix it.

Thanks everyone

Lisa

I would post your numbers in the chemistry forum. You will get much more qualified help there. They are also going to need to know what you dose, how much you dose, and how often. Randy is the moderator of that forum and very knowledgable when it comes to problems like yours.

Hi there.

No nothing to buffer. Should i be? The kits i am using are hagen....i know i know...lol
Can't buy salifert at any lfs here. I have ordered them but the ones i need are back ordered.
The only thing i put in my tank are reef complete. I don't think it is enough but i am not sure what i should be adding or not adding...
Suggestions would be great though.....

Lisa

There are a number of effective additives that you can use. This is always a subject on which there are a lot of different opinions. I have been long been using Reef Builder which is made by Seachem and it's been consistently effective. Here's a handy tool that you can use and it gives info you'd want no matter which additives you chose to use:

personaly i use a 2 part to buffer calcium and alkalinity. its the easiest way for me to keep them both in balance. i have used ESVs B-ionic with great results, but i now make my own 2 part. heres a link to the chemistry artcles. theres a few in there that will explain the importance of alk/calc balance.

I am new, and useing the B-ionics two part has been keeping my newly cycled tank very stable. It's actually been so stable I only use it every couple days unless my test come out diffrent.
