QT Tank

I've set up a QT tank for my fish, it's actually a hospital tank at the moment. I've not been able to find anything on this, but would it help if I ran a HOB skimmer on the tank (10g)? It currently has a small little bio filter and there are two maroon clowns that'll be there for the next 6 weeks.
TIA!

As skimmer is good in any system because of the type of contamination it removes from the water.

Will it still work effectivly w/ hyposalinity? I plan on doing water changes too, so it's not like I'm looking for a way to get out of doing them.

Yeah it will work just fine. If you have it setup the right way it will actually reduce the amount of water changes you have to do.
