BakPak skimmate low
Hi all,
I've got a BakPak 2 skimmer, and I recently outfitted it with the MaxiJet 1200 because it hardly produced any skimmate with the Rio pump. Unfortunately, the MaxiJet doesn't seem to be doing any better. There are lots of bubbles in the column, but next to no skimmate per day. At this rate I would literally never have to empty the cup. The MaxiJet has the venturi adapter, and the pump intake is about 2-inches below the water surface in my sump. Any suggestions? |

Have you lowered your collection cup in the column?

I have tried putting the cup at many different heights.

How old is your set-up?
It may not produce that much waste at this time. I only need to run my skimmer for two hours a day. There is nothing left to pull out, and it helps with the electric bill. |
