Mmmmm Famke... I'd :fun1: her...lol. MJAnferson's biggest (almost only) contribution to the thread so far is "Mmmm...Famke Janssen"... too funny. Thanks, I needed that.

.No, no Tunzes...they arent out yet. Besides, I would need a 110v controller and all anyways and its too early for the nano-streams... but I might snag them when I go later this year.

Actually I believe it is pronounced "toon" & "zeh"

The umlaut over the u would make it pronounce like "tee-oon" instead of "toon" Well not exactly "tee-oon" but as close as I can make it.

My German is somewhat rusty so I might be speaking outta my a** too

Im positive "mah MJ-stream moddin' & nose pickin' engineer", its just like when someone says 'duh'...ok, maybe thats not good enough since some people do say 'duh' with a slight 'a' sound to it. I mean it soungs like 'uh', as in "uh, I just got punched in the stomach and I went 'uh' " Or, 'uggo'..."boy, she is a real UGGO" ('ugly', lol).

Hey, you can take it up with my GF though. She lived in Germany for 6 years growing up and still speaks on the phone in German nearly every day... but she's not infallible...dont tell her I said that, as far as she knows I think she is a 'Uberfrau' <<< there is a umlaut on first the 'U' in this case for the 'ooo' sound.

of course you also have to factor in the dialect spoken as well. I know a lot fo the northen folks pronounce Ich as "isch" for example and not "ikh"

But anyway...

I asked her that as well... if Hamburg or some other dialect would change it from the standard Berlin...she said no, not in this case. I did think to ask that at the time.

As for that umlaut page, and everything umlaut...that does change from region to region. Just listen to a Rammstein album (even Rammstein sounds different region to region) and you will hear umlauts done a couple different ways. That 'yew' isnt so common ...thats more old and south German.

We are being dumb though... there are Tunze, Geisemann, and other german mfg's in the forums... I seem to remember it being posted in the Tunze forum at one time even...

We could just ask them what they want to be called...if they say it sounds like 'toot-from-butt'...well, thats what it is! I dont think they care as long as you send them $$$....and for $350 a pump, Im gonna call them whatever I want.

ROFL!! It seems MJAnderson felt he had to contribute more to the conversation...lol.

I conned my GF into seeing X-men3 one night, I told her, "I get to see Famke, and you get to see Hugh Jackman...we both win!" Boy, did I make out like a bandit... Hugh was in for what...15 minutes, and Famke was in for something like THE WHOLE MOVIE!!! (and hot as ever I might add). She is the epitome of 'my type'...so I gotta agree MJ.

There is nothing on her reef though? Lol... you make my day.

For those who dont know...

what were we talking about anyways? (time to roll the credits on this thread)...

yep, only a larger transformer (hockey puck looking thing)

I have upgraded two 6000's, and if I want to lower one down, I just unplug the larger transformer and plug the other one in.

no, only the driver boxes are interchangeable.
I just installed a 6200, it has a much wider flow than the 6100's.

I love my tunze equipment .At one time it was no way your crazy well now I am crazy but the realiablity over the years has been well worth it.

2 osmo units , wave box, 7095 multi , 2x6200's ,3x 6100's , 6060, 7310 kit and a single controller.

Also I have never heard the comment about having so many tunze viewable in my sps tank.

Same here Andrew. I just picked up a new tank set-up as someone was moving. With it came the Tunze 6060 with the controller. I used to have a Seio PH in my old cube...and let me tell you this, I dont know if I could ever go back to anything else. The Tunze is quite awsome. It took me quite a while to get it adjusted just right. But now that I have, it moves some serious water.

Would I have ever bought one prior to owning one...most likely not. Why, because never before would I have even considered spending that kind of money on a power head. Now that I own one...I will probably always own one as long as im in this hobby.

sorry but the 6060 isn't controllable you must have got a 6000 which is even better than a 6060

I only have one dead spot in my tank now which is right under the 6060 in the corner of the tank so I may get one of the new nano streams when they come out. So far I'm very happy with the 6060.

I have a pair of 6100's
A 6000 on a single controller
And a 6060

Guess where my vote is?

The only reason I will buy an inexpensive PH is for mixing SW
