Ok guys what can I really do here?
I got my AC running a lot lately and because of the house being closed up my pH has been supper low, around 8.1 in day, and as low as 7.75 at night. I have a CPR AquaFuge 24 with a butt load of macro and run it on a reverse lighting cycle to my main lights. It has been up for about 4 months now, but honestly does not seem to do much if any thing to my pH. If it has it only seem to start bring the pH up just before it's own light kicks off and the mains kick on... I use a Kents 2-part buffer system, and Randys Mg mix, soon to switch all over to home brew. I add the buffers at night but it seems to still swing low. I have plenty of surface motion for gas exchange. So solution? Run CPR AquaFuge light 24/7? Ran skimmer air intake line out a window for fresh air, don't seem to do much. I was looking at a Ca reactor for some time, just that moneys tight? Suggestions please... As soon as the house is open (on days we can) pH is 7.90 night to 8.30 day!

Ca reactors tend to drop your PH and not raise it. How about topping off with Kalk water, that should help raise your PH.

My dKH runs around 9 to 11... Ca 400 to 475... Mg 1200+
As mentioned when the house is open the tank is perfect 7.9 to 8.3... King-Kong, I will try the fuge light 24hrs for a bit and see...

Update
Ok, I've been running the fuge 24/7 for a few days now, it's pH influence is very minimal if hardly any thing, very disappointing. I guess it just shows the fuge is too small for the tank.
I raised my dKH to 12 now (was 9) and Ca is around 450 to 500 CO2 test shows undetectable (LaMotte) 1 ppm or less. I will start dripping Kelk tomorrow when it arrives. I ordered it along with a new PhosBan reactor ![]()
