Closed loop without drilling?

anybody have any good ideas how to do a closed loop on a aga megaflow tank without drilling it and preferably without something i have to prime?

I think you're limited to an over the top setup if you don't want to drill...where your intake & outlets all go out the top of your tank & then behind the back to the pump. Basically just like a canister filter...hth

Better yet, use the "return" hole in the mega flow as your CL input. Then have all of your return lines coming over the top into the tank. I've been doing that for almost 8 years.

Billzie, what would happen if your return pump failed? Would the CL pump run dry?

Wouldn't the closed loop suck the overflow area dry to fast? I don't know what sets the 600gph limit on the overflows, is it the diameter pipe leaving the overflow or do the restrictive slots limit it to 600?
