Is this Normal???
Just got a yellow tang.. First fish, acclamatied him, and he seems fine but he is continuously swimming back and forth the distance of the tank I put some macro algae an a clip and he hasnt even noticed it/ He has not slowed down at all, except for when the lights were out for about 6 hours.. is this norm or could he be stressed? Also my figi live rock seems to have some whitish grey stuff on it, It seems to be hardend, and not just sitting on it?

The tang is still getting accustomed to its new environment, I would guess. I wouldn't worry too much. You could try some fish food in addition to the algae clip.
I don't know what's on the rock. Can you get a picture? That might be useful, might not.

My ocellaris clown 'paced' for three days when I added her to my tank. She ate, looked healthy, but swam up and down the glass, back and forth across the tank and in and out of the rockwork constantly. On the third day there was a remarkable shift in her behaviour. She visibly relaxed, settled in and started to look comfortable in her new home. Now she's a nutty little ham; she plays in the sand, splashes at the surface if dinner takes too long and headbutts the glass if I get too close to 'her' tank. Give your tang time, s/he'll settle in and be your favourite fish in no time

The white area might just be where coralline has died. Hard to say, but I wouldn't worry.

My powder blue tang did the same thing ACBlinkey described, but he also came bearing presents - ich, so after a month of having to move my tank 300 miles, then battling ich with QT, copper and numerous chemicals everyone is fine.
My Tang is still a little skittish at times, I don't blame him after all he's been thru - but they will start to calm down, and you should notice a difference. Are you leaving the food in all night? Also, if you live near a "Mega "- mart grocery store go to the Asian fods isle and look for "nori" sometimes called "sushi nori" - it's 2.50 a pack of like 10 sheets, I fold mine in quarters and feed 1 quarter a day - my tang goes nuts over it and usually has it eaten off the clip in 10 mins and spends the rest of the day chasing the floating nori and nibbling at it. By 5pm he has the whole thing gone. Just some ideas for you.

The pet stores cary the small plastic box of "seaweed" and charge 6 bucks for it. At the grocery store you can buy like 3 times as much for 2.50. My fish (tang and foxface) seem to like the nori a bit better.
The tang is prolly just stressed from the move and the new home. Keep trying to feed her tho, they need to be fat and healthy to overcome the stress. If she seems to not have an apetite, you might want to grab a garlic clove while you are looking for Nori at the store. Chop a little up- smash it, whatever and then put a little in the water of the tank, it's supposed to get them to have an apetite, also garlic is good to rid any baddies the fish could have... maybe that will make her want to eat the seaweed/algae you have for her. hope this helps
