Talking Base Rock Question

If i get dead base rock and mix it with fiji live rock will it eventually become live? Also will the rock be off color or will it eventually be covered with coraline algae?

yes it will, and it will eventually get coraline over it and it will all match. I have about half live rock (like 8 different kinds tho lol) and half lace rock. I've actually heard that lace rock can leach stuff out into your tank, but so far its been fine for me, but anyways, it was completely brown, but its now got purple poppin up everywhere and its the same color of coraline that is on my live rocks (actually the coraline is growing faster on the lace rock lol, but i dont think that has anything to do w/the rock...just how its growing i guess).
