Lawnmower blenny stalks and cont. attacks pink/blue spot goby
Just finished cycling 100 gal. tank. 150lbs. of TBS and 100 lbs of LS.
Bought a 2 1/2 - 3 pink/blue spot goby and 2 1/4 Lawnmower blenny from the same store. after 1 1/2 days of interduction to the new tank... hence they are the first inhabitance of this tank... I spotted the LMB continously stalking the goby which is bigger than him for most of the time.. he would continously follow the goby and go after him... mind you that the minute I come close to the tank he would pause the attack look at me and wait to see what I would do. At times I would catch him in the moment of the start of the attack, I would rush the tank, tap the tank and point at him.. he would pause, hesitate then go around another rock to try to commence the attack from another angle. Banished him to the aquafuge to be returned to the LFS and look around for another smaller tiny blenny. ( hopefully not sadistic ) DELSOL650

I guess I'm lucky as mine LMB doesn't go after the Mandarins, Yel Jawfishes and Green Clown Goby but then it was the last one in. It just goes all over the rocks and the glass searching for algae and doesn't eat any frozen or dry food (pellets or Nori) that I put in. What does your LMB eat?

I " NEXTED" him
Sent him packing back to the LFS. Can you belive that I caught him in 8 mins. using a net placed in end of the tank and driving him from other side of the tank to the net... only moved 2 small pieces of rock so that it won't fall down. Now I have a nice pink/orange square spot anthias

Ok... after getting rid of the LMB, I got another one smaller this time from another LFS and after a couple of days this one is flexing on the pink spot... I think this pink spot is just very docile.??? cause I doubt I would have as easy of a time trying to catch this new blenny. I think I'll just let him get punked till he gets tired of it and starts fighting back... I like the pink spot since he is very personable and actually likes having me around... comes to the front of the aquarium and looks at me and watch what I do.. dosn't get scared at all.
