What are the minimum lighting requirements for this 30g Hex???

I just picked up 30G Hex at petco for 30 bucks. I would like to put corals in it such as gsp, zoos, xenia, leather, and mushrooms. What is the minimum wattage light I can use to keep that stuff. Also if I decided to keep LPS what would I need? thanks

I kept all the mentioned corals with a 2 X 32 watt compact flourscence retro on my 30g hex. Even monti digi grew well.

Nice I was hoping someone wouldn't say like a 250W MH. I'm glad to hear that. Do you know where I can get something like that at a good price? Thanks

OK IO just thought of something, what if I get my 24W 50/50 PC with the ballst and make a hood and install it in the hood, then buy 2 more 24W bulbs with the ballast and put them up in the hood also. For a total of 72W I think I should be fine. What do you think?

If it all fits, sure, that'd be fine. Hex canopies are a PITA to make yourself, I'd just buy one.

Another possibility might be one of the 70w MH kits for nanos. About the same wattage, probably longer between bulb changes, and the cool shimmer look of MH lighting. Probably costs a little more up front though...

True. Forgot about those. Didn't have them when I first set up my hex.
