Sump ?
I want to change my filtration set up a little bit. I have a 46 gallon reef tank. My current filtration is cpr bak pak and a small cpr refugium and rena cannister filter for chemical filtration purposes only. What I would like to do is get a bigger refugium and put it under my tank and use the CPR bak pac as the skimmer still. I think this kind of set up will still work.
But my question is for the sump. I have been looking at different sumps including name brand ones and none name brand ones and came up with one choice. I would like to get this sump from a website hurricanefilters.com. The sump of choice is Storm-90. Has anyone heard of this company or used their product before. My objective was to get a bigger population of caulerpa growth, better skimming with the overflow instead of the skimmer box on the CPR bak pak and a more stable water parameters. |

I'm currently using a hurrican filters overflow. Its nowhere near lifereef quality, but it works for the most part.
Have you looked into DIYing it with either a tank or a rubbermade tub?
