Where to buy starboard????

Hows it going,

Just moved tank about 6 weeks ago and have a light layer of sand(possibly to be siphoned out) but only a crocea clam ( coral wise) and was pondering going BB before I stock the tank out the wazzoooo...

So where do all you BB folks get your starboard???? Best prices??? Who makes the Best materials or is there only one manufacturer???? How did you get yours cut???

As always...any help greatly appreciated!!

I prefer bare glass to starboard. You would not belie the amount of detritius that would get traped under the starboard before I took it out.

Why would you have a house full of water.? Tempered glass is quite strong. It would take more than a rock slide to break the bottom. The detritius was noticed after a couple of months.

If you want it, try usplastics.com . I was just looking for some for something else. If i remember, starboard is basically a brand name for HDPE, which is also what you use for cutting boards. Anyway, usplastics has retail locations all over the place. And if you don't like the price, just search for Plastics in the phone book and ask for HDPE.

I hope this works for you.

Oh and one more thing, it cuts like wood. So any table saw or circular saw with around 60 teeth will do the trick. Routers work as well. Look on here for tips on cutting acrylic.

i have had a rock slide recently after the move while aquascaping and it didnt break the bottom but they were smaller rocks...i would be worried about a large rock falling for some reason
