150W, 175W, or 250W on a 75g?

I am working on planning a 75g. My question is: If I want to keep SPS and clams, am I going to notice a huge difference between 150, 175, and 250 W MHs?
I was thinking of going 175 because the 250s do add a bit of cost, but I am particularly worried about the added costs of a chiller as well on the 250s. Is it a correct assumption that if I went open top I could get away with the 175 and 150 without a chiller?
Lastly, keeping cost in mind, what option would be the best bang for the buck for me?

lights

Definatley get the 250's. If you have good ventilation and your rooms ambient temp is comfortable you shouldnt need a chiller.

I am prepping for a 75 gallon. I bought TekLight 6 lamp t5. And, just as you want a SPS and clam tank, so do I.

In addition to those lights, on the SPS side of my tank, I am going to put two MH lamps that I have on my tanks now.... One 70W Viper and one 150W Coralife Aqualife.

I am hoping that that will do.
