Sorry if this question sounds dumb. I have been advised to change my lighting to 2- 250 metal halides. (I am upgrading to a 120g and currently have 2 150 mh and 2 - 130 pc)
Question. Does the ice cap ballast causeyoure lights to run cooler? I was told they do, however I would feel 500 watts of mh would run hotter than 560 watts combined mh/pc. Does this sound right? and would it be recommended?

i dont think there will be a significant change in temp with the upgrade.2-250watt +actinic would be a nice set up for a 120.ice cap ballasts ,from all i have read will run the bulb a bit cooler.how much i could not say without some research
