sump question

I have a 65 gal tank set up the pump I have is rated at 650gph internally and going through my return is my UV sterilizer I do not have enough water flow if I use an external pump like a mak4 can I come out of the sump over and down to the mak4 then to return through the UV then in bottom of tank will this setup on a y lock line give me enough flow

Ok im a little confused.

What I recommend is if you are looking for more flow thru your tank then either get some powerheads or set up a closed loop. Most dont recommend a large gph being pushed thru the sump.

The gph pumped through a UV-sterilizer is critical to its effectiveness. First, check to see what the maximum gph your UV-sterilizer is rated for and under no circumstances exceed that number no matter how it's plumbed.
