Barnacles?!!??!
Is it possible to have barnacles in one's reef tank? I have two suspects in the inside of my standpipe, in constant flow. I thought they were limpets, but that are hard as a rock and look to have some kind of protrusion coming from them.
Am I crazy??? Dana |

I have millions of barnacles all over my tank, on the underside of rocks, all over my glass... I was always told that is a good thing. They dont bother anything so I dont see how it would be bad.

I also have several barnacles in my system...I just consider them a sign of a thriving ecosystem and enjoy watching them.
Enjoy!!

Mine didn't last long, but they were pretty cool. They reminded me of a hand coming out to grab food.
