How do pods get from fuge to MT?

I've got a small fuge area in my sump, and the water flows from drain pipe, to fuge, through two baffles, and into the return chamber, where a mag7 returns water to main tank (skimmer is in this area of the sump as well). So do pods get chopped up by the return pump? Am I really feeding my MT with critters? Should I periodically shake my chaeto clump in the MT to move some of the pods there?

Thanks!

Some may get chopped by the pump, but most probably won't. Depending on the fish you have, they will get eaten either way.

Shaking the chaeto may help, but I don't think it would be necessary.

I always put my fuge last in line inside the sump so the pods don't have to travel through baffles or have a chance to get killed by heaters, pumps, skimmers, ect.

My fuge is above the main tank and just uses gravity to drain into the main tank. That way I know the highest population of pods is making it into the main tank as is possible. I do not have scientific evidence to support the theory pumps chew up a significant portion of pods but I do know since switching to this method I see a much larger population of pods in my main tank then I used to.

I herd long time ago that 95% of pods that go thought your pump make it to your main tank and not get cut-up.
