Can I use the TYPHOON III AQUARIUM REVERSE OSMOSIS DI 75 under my kitchen sink?

Can I use the TYPHOON III AQUARIUM REVERSE OSMOSIS DI 75 under my kitchen sink? In other words, besides using it for the reef tank, can I use it as drinking water for the family?

If this can be done, is it easy to hook it up to the kitchen sink/kitchen sink pipe line?

Yes, you can use the typhoon III for drinking water by using the bypass.

I do not have mine hooked up under the sink as I have it on a faucet adapter, but it comes with the stuff to hook it up that way. It doesn't look too difficult to do as the instruction booklet gives pretty good descriptions.

You bet. It comes with the piercing valve or adapter you specify for the tap water side and a drain saddle kit. Its very easy to add the optional drinking water kit and you have good water for all uses.

I just set up this exact system 2 days ago. I ordered the Typhoon III and got the drinking water upgrade. Everything fit under my kitchen sink just fine. Its a nice system. I have the RO bypass hooked up permanently to the drinking water system, which leaves me the DI output for my reef. Very easy to install and use. My only complaint is that there were a few leaks here and there. I fixed them all except for one. I have a slight leak where the first cabon filter cannister screws onto the lid.

I haven't actually taken lids off yet, but have you checked to O-ring? Sound like something isn't sitting quite right.

A very light coating of silicone grease or even vaseline will do the trick.
