Info on new Protein Skimmer upgrade

I Need some good advice on a new protein skimmer.
My Tank is heavily stock 180 gallon reef tank.
I have a Predator Down-Flow with a Rio 3100 pump and the Pump is new. I have had the Protein skimmer now for all most 5 years. It is an in sump model. I do not have to much room to put one out side of my tank.
I would like to know is would an ETSS 600 XR or My Reef Creations MR-2 Protein Skimmer with a Beckett 1408 foam head be better than my Predator Down-Flow skimmer. Or do you think there is something better?
Thank You,
Daniel

Daniel,

I run a Tunze 9020 on my tank and it is more than enough. I can even run it with only 1 9010 turned on and it works fine. If you haven't looked into these yet please do so. I think you will like the small footprint. Mine is in the living room and it is very quiet. Good luck.

Why are you looking to upgrade? You have been using your skimmer for five years why the change in heart?
