My live rock is getting a brown/copper covering on it...what's up?

I recently flipped over some of my live rock to get a brighter appearence(rock had some red on it), since doing that my rock is starting to get a copper haze on it. Any suggestions??

Sounds like Cyano-bacteria is this a new setup or an old one?

I've had this setup for over a year.

I thought the same thing because thats what I got when I first set this up. What can I do besides blow off the rock?

You need to up the flow, Put a pwr head in if you dont have one. Watch your feeding. Test for phosphates and get some kind of phosphate media in there to remove it.
Carbon helps too. Your lighting schedule maybe be too long.
Just those few things will help tremendously.
Flow is a big issue. How old is the tank set up? How many fish or corals do you have in there? Sand bottom, Crushed coral, Bare bottom? Water changes? how much and what kind of water? Everythings mentioned is a factor. Everyone goes thru it sooner or later. Stuff will turn black fall off eventually. Nasty.
