Online stores?
Ok, Now that I am ready for some livestock I can't seem to find many places online to order them. I really am looking for the what you see is what you get stores.
Where do all of you get your livestock? Thanks. Ken P.S. I have used Sharky's once now and they were misleading in their description and pictures. |

Not sure what kind of livestock you are looking for.
I just moved from Pa and spent some time at Dr Mac's in Md. He has by far the best SPS I have seen anywhere in the US. He is a little pricey if my memory serves me, but in my opinion is worth it. I used to drive 5 hours to get to his shop. Here is a link http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/AboutUs.aspx

woops...sorry, thought you said "liverock"....but yeah, saltwaterfish.com usually has some good variety and good looking species - not to mention great prices!

Definately give Dr Mac's (Pacific East Aquaculture) a look. I just checked out his sight for the first time in a while and it looks just as good as I remember.
His stuff for sale is "what you see is what you get" too. Give him a call. He is very receptive to inquiries. I always felt like I was wasting his time, because he would talk to me for a long time even if I wasn't buying much, but he never seemed to mind.

Ditto on Dr. Mac.
Also, for corals try: www.reefermadness.us, and www.reefscience.com I have ordered from both and they are excellent. Especially Reefermadness. Most my fish I buy locally. However, www.liveaquaria.com and www.petsolutions.com get consistently good feedback here on RC. You can do a search for the above places, for more information, or feedback. HTH

I can vouch for liveaquaria.com as well. Great customer service, and I've never seen (my friends use it too) any livestock arrive in anything but terrific condition (even allowing for travel).

Stay away from Saltwaterfish.com (unless your ordering a cleaning crew). the customer survice is really bad, I have ordered from them twice and had an item arrive DOA and I was not able to get any credit and I did follow there process. Now in both cases I did order a cleaning crew and they looked really nice.

Thanks for the heads up on saltwaterfish.com. I had tried ordering some dry goods before and had problems even placing the order So I just went somewhere else.
I have ordered from liveaquaria before and was happy with the customer service. Thanks for the help everyone. |
