Cleaning the CPR Overflow, How do you?

Hey all,
I've got a CPR overflow and I'm not sure how to clean it. I've got a little bit of GHA in the "over the tank part." I don't want to completely remove it to clean it if I don't have to.
Lots of people don't like the CPRs, but they work well for me.

Thanks,
Jason

Take an old toothbrush and scrub the HA off and let it go through the overflow and get stuck on the little sponge on the drain hole. Pull the sponge out, clean it, and voila!

My old toothbrush, nor any toothbrush will go down into the overflow and up through the U channel. GHA is in the highest part of the overflow--the portion going over the wall of tank. Figues, huh?

Thanks

Oh. Isn't it black acrylic there anyway? How do you see the HA?

Dan

Well, the sides are clear so you can see through it. It's in there!

Watch out it doesn't clog the little air nipple. Then you will have a worse problem.

Reefing is'nt how long you been in it. It is how deep you get in it.

Current Tank Info: 400g display build, 300g sump, 75g ATO, 75g refug and a few more. Close to a 1000g. 200g mixing station.
