Just reset up my tank
45 gallon salt, small cowfish, a damsel, a bunch of snails, a sally, a emerald crab, and a brittle star
Thats a basic description of it. It has about 40 lbs or so of live rock. How does this setup sound? What are some recomendations for fish in the future, how about corals? Let me know, THanks A new member Danny |

I'm sure you're probably already aware of this, but that Cowfish will eventually outgrow your tank. If it's a Longhorn, LiveAquaria.com recommends a 125G for it, in which case the tank may already be close to too small for the little guy.
Not trying to harp on you for it, but just wanted you to be aware. |

I am completely aware of that. I am going to college in 2 years, at which point I will be giving the cowfish to my friend a 125, and will most likely take my tank down. I bought the cowfish becuse he is so cool and will fit the tank for a decent time period, and when he is too big, it isn't that big of a deal to me. ALso, I was told when he gets bigger he may eat the brittle star, which, again is no big deal to me, as long as I have him a few months.
Thanks for the advice Danny |

They're so cute when they're little. It looks good.

I would put in a Midas Blenny, they have a great personality.

Hmm... I didn't know that cowfish ate crustaceans. I definitely agree, though, that cowfish are really cool-looking. I'd be tempted to get one, myself, if I had a larger tank. I definitely agree. Why take the tank down? You put so much work into it! Can you take it with you? (Not likely, if you're moving to dorms. But it'd be sweet!)

how much flow do you have and does your fish struggle with the current?

I have a decent amount of flow, he seems to be pushed around a bit, but not bad. I have one of those penguin HOB filters, and a protein skimmer.
