was wondering what everyone thinks ?
what is best for a FOWLR? what is best for a reef tank? |

No real difference. Some people like to add moonlights at night to their reefs just an added look. Same with a fowlr tank.

you say no real difference... but IMO i think it can make a big difference. If you get the right lights, and have them set up properly, I believe they can aid in fish and coral spawning. Many species have their natural rythms set by the moon light. But many of us arent really worried about fish and coral spawning, so that i think is where the personal preference comes in to play. Just my $.02

I run a full moon phase over my reef. I wouldn't have it any other way, spawning or not. I like the added look and it more closely simulates the natural reef.
