Pinpoint and Ranco probes
I just set up my tank and am hooking up a few new goodies. I need to know if the Ranco and pinpoint pH probes can be submerged completely. As in laying on the bottom of the sump, 8" below water level. Can the wires attached to the probes be submerged a little too, like my digi thermometer?

I've also heard of people using a square of styrofoam to hold the pinpoint probe. Whst's the deal with that? Thanks.
