Question Top off system

I just got a custom made top off tank (10 gal.) for my setup and I was wondering which top off system would be good for my setup.

My tank is a 60 gal and my sump is a 22 gal just for reference here's a picture.

Do they have an optic sensor or are they glorified float switches?
