Need help asap (pic included)

Hello, I have had an anemone for a while it went to the back right away. It came to the front in the past couple of days now back to the lower left back of the tank. Here is a picture of it. Do I need to get it out before an ammonia spike? Dead or is it just like this because its moving? It was like this since this morning.

Thanks for any help. In person it kind of looks like that with a white film maybe around the top like a hairy white film maybe.

The pic is fuzzy but it does look dead to me. If it isn't I don't really see it recovering from looking like that, but might want to wait on a couple more opinions.

Is it that blob lying face down in the sand with the foot up? I'd say it is rapidly dieing on you as its foot is no longer adhered. It may recover, but probably not.

I agree dead or very close to it.I think if it was mine I would not take the chance.I would remove it

Usually i would say don't disturb it, but that looks pretty bad, so gently scoop it up and lift it to the surface, and give it a whiff. If he is dieing, he will smell real bad. If it has a stong nasty smell, toss it, if not, gently place it back where it is and keep a close eye on it.

What type of lighting do you have? How old is the tank? What are the water parameters?

Ok I will remove it asap. yes it is face down on the sand. yesterday the foot was hanging on the rock by a small bit of his foot and now like that today. K, it is out of the tank and into the bucket. Here we come garbage can! He didn't ever come out anyway I guess

K, whew getting him out made a sand storm trying to get to him lol. Starting to clear up. Bet the monticap and fish like that cloudiness lol NOT

If it smells it's dead. If it doesn't it's alive. Also if dead, it will squish. If alive and that contracted, it feels solid as gum eraser.

Its a goner for sure. If it wasn't, I am sure it was very close because it even had that yuck film on it. It is in the garbage can now though. My clown never did go in it. Nemo likes my mag float better where I can't see him because he sits on the opposite side of it. If you move it he won't follow it and looks lost but oh well.

No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low.
