He looks like a true percula clownfish. They are very cute. That is the type that nemo is, just a variance. Each has its own markings, and differences in white, black and orange bands.

Starting with a nano has some drawbacks too though. They're a lot more work to take care of and maintain consistently good water quality, which some beginners have difficulty with. Plus if you add up their cost they don't cost THAT much less than larger tanks, so if you're thinking about a 55g you might as well just do it the first time.

Just some things to consider.

ok guys my buddy (who works at a lfs) says that his tank 40 gallon (if im not mistaken) comes witha wet dry and a protine skimmer stand tank and power compacts is it a good buy for 400 bucks?

get more details and come back.

Find out the type of protein skimmer and the age of the power compact bulbs. And the type of wet/dry. Get pictures if you can, and come here and post. It will give us a better idea what he has and if it is worth the money. Find out why the tank was taken down as well, if he had salt or fresh in it, if he ever treated anything with copper.

taken down becuse he got a 300 gallon tank salt water was in the 40
got my pay today so i have 100 bucks in the safe for my salt hobby as of now
