Dead foxface

I just got ome and i noticed that my tank was running low on water. My tank was full of micro bubbles and then i didnt see my foxface. I searched and i found that he was laying on his side breathing very heavily. Then he stopped. Obviously he was dead. My paremeters are all at 0's. Could the microbubble have caused this?? Please help me guys.

Why is your water low? What's causing the bubbles? What's your salinity, pH, temp? How long have you been away from the tank? Does anyone else have access to it?

Evaporation, The sump return is pulling air bubble from the waterfall effect due to the water height, 1.23, 8.2, 80.2, since noon and he was doing fine when i left. No one else is here when i am not.

How long have you had the fish? Did you quarantine him before introduction? Was he eating? What other fish do you have? Any corals? Is so what is your calcium and alkalinity?

I wouldn't think that micro bubbles would kill the fish. But maybe you would be better off posting this in the Reef Fishes forum or disease forum.

If the water went too low and you didn't replaced the evaporated water with fresh water, the HIGH Salanity could caused the dead of the fox face ..

Put an out top off water system to your tank so you will always have the same SG even when water evaporates.

His salinity isn't 1.23... it's a typo. He meant 1.023. I'm pretty sure water can't support a specific gravity of 1.23... even if you could find a way to disolve lead into it.

Edit: It says in the sig that you are 2 1/2 months "into it". It's very likely that for anyone... fish are going to die. You've probably stressed him out to such a degree that he was unable to deal with some trauma.

Work on stabalizing your tank. It needs to be a good place for fish, or fish will not thrive there. If a few days of evaporation will cause a problem, you need to look into an auto-top off, or look into a bigger sump.

Quarentine is a must. It's not just a good idea. Those who do quarentine usually learned the hard way to do it. Don't just dump fish into your tank... treat them carefully.
