New Deltec Skimmer not working
This morning I hooked up my 1250 and it's now 1:12 in the morning and still nothing, am I doing something wrong? My water level in the sump is in the middle of the arrows, the water level in the skimmer is at the base of the opening of the collection cup (as per instructions), and the air valve is wide open, any help would be appreciated because I'm leaving for hawaii on wed. for a week and my nephew is going to watch the tank while I'm gone, ARRRG! Thanks.

It just needs time to 'break in'. There are oils left in the chamber from production, and these will slowly wash away.
Don't worry, it'll start working in a day or two...possibly a little longer.

What tang salad said it needs "break in time" but once it does break in you willl have so much skimmate you wont know what to do with it (obviously poor it down the sink).
