Anyone ordered from Saltwaterfish.com?

There isn't anything in the sponser forums and I was wondering about any problems anyone has had or general reputation. Thanks

I had ordered live rock and got my refractometer from them with no problems.

Do a search in the vendors forum. Most of the time their feedback is good but someone in the Central Ohio Reef club had alot of problems with them when he placed an order. I'll try to pull up that thread.

Thanks for that, I didn't ever see them in the vendors spot and every time I try the search its always not available. Guess I'll take them out of my favorites links. Thanks again.

I would rec them wholeheartedly. I ordered a cleanup crew, chromis, and some other stuff from them. Recieved the order when they said i would, hot packs were still warm. Followed their acclimation process and lost nothing.

I didn't use them for two reasons. One was their hidden fees. They advertise so well about free shipping, but then find out there is $18 of charges and a $79 minimum order. The second reason I backed away was their stay-alive guarantee. They will give you back your money, but only by giving a credit on a future live goods order (again, minimum of $79 + $18).

LiveAquaria.com (Drs Foster and Smith) doesn't hide their fees, does not restrict you, and has both refunded money to me and sent a replacement fish all without any questions or additional costs. So that is what I like to use.

I understand that these places have to make money, that's commonsense. But why can't they just be honest and tell you the actual cost right up front?? Why try to advertise false or miss leading info to a potential customer?? I just don't get it. If I find out something that was not part of the deal when I'm just about to buy, I don't buy and take my money somewhere else.

When buying online I look for two things up front. A phone number for customer service and shipping costs/fees. This goes for anything bought online. If I can't find that info easily, I go to someone else. I have even called the customer service number before ordering to see what happens, get a person, ask some questions, OK, get a recorded message, hang up and move on.
