i'd like some opinions on the tunze doc skimmers
How do they compare to the ASM?
Are they comparable to H&S, or deltec? Are the tank size ratings somewhat accurate? Overall opinions and comments on skimmer? Thanks in advance. |

I have a Tunze 9010 skimmer that is really great for smaller tanks. Even though it's rated for 264 gallons, I would only feel comfortable putting it on a 120 or so.
It's also a breeze to setup and very quiet. The skimmer is pretty much set it and forget it because it really is that easy. Plus a small footprint. I think the footprint is the same as a wavebox. If you're going to put it on a bigger setup, maybe the 9020 will work. Or wait to see what the new Master DOC skimmers can do. They're the new needlewheel skimmers from Tunze and should be out later this month or by Christmas. Anyway here's a few pictures from the 9010. |
