Question Tang Changing Color

We just introduced a yellow tang into our 30 gal tank 4 days ago. It seems really comfortable; eating and swiming fine. But when the lights go out and the moonlights come on... it goes from that bright yellow color all over to a white stripe down the side and areas of brown on the side and along the front of his face. Is this normal for tangs? If so, is there a reason they change colors like that?

The white stripe is normal.
