It has begun, My 30g Reef
After many, many months of reading forums here I've decided to start a reef. I wanted to start this awhile ago but I didnt not have a tank that was drilled. I had an old 30g tank sitting in my basement and tried to drill it(didnt know if glass was tempered), lucky for me it was not.
As far as drilling the tank I followed the steps in this thread Below you can see the process of me cutting an overflow hole in the back of my tank. It will be for a 1" bulkhead. As far as other equipment and livestock I haven't given much thought to this as I wasn't sure if the tank was going to shatter or not. |

Decide what type of fish/corals you want to keep and post the list here for people to give you advice on the do's and dont's. Then make a list of equipment (size and brand of everything) and again post it here for advice. This will save you a LOT of money. There are a lot of experienced people on this board that will point you in the right direction so that you make as few costly mistakes as possible. Good luck and REEF ON
