Fish info
I need a site to give me good information about fish. I want to start planning out what fish to have in my tank. Any suggestions would help.
I have a 29g with 25+lbs.live rock, a 6 line wrasse, and a arrowhead crab. i would like to keep the wrasse, but the arrowhead crab will probably be moved into a friends 75g later on. |

look at liveaquaria.com for fish references. Look in the nano fish section and any of those would be good (for the size of tank anyways).
I'd be worried about the sixline later on tho...they're very active and imo you may wanna bump that up to a bigger tank once it gets big.

Buy a book... This one's good and available at many LFS:

You should be wary of any of the tank size recommendations by anyone trying to sell you a fish. They are not really interested in the long term happiness of most of the fish they sell, only the first month or so... so that you don't blame them when stress off's your fish and you go get another.
I'd downgrade the size of your tank by about 20% when thinking about what fish you want. Considering your tank to be a 25 gal or even a 20 will make your fish much happier in the long run. If the recommendations say 35 gal, forget it in a 29... it's just not going to thrive there. |

The other thing about online store sites is that they usually list the size of the fish you'll receive, not the maximum size the fish will obtain.
I have to again plug the book I've listed. I've found it to be spot-on with respect to fish size, compatibility, ease of care, tank size recommendations, etc. Plus it has great pictures. |
