Need Help w/ a Few Stonies!!!
Ok so I started a new 90 about 2 weeks ago, and I have a 24g nano dx(2x36w PC's). I got 3 stonies as a gift for my new tank, problem is, the tank is not ready for anything yet(and I've never kept a stony). So I had to put them in my nano. Now I have heard you don't want to put stonies in a newly established tank, you want to wait around 4-6 months. And my nano is not suitable I'm sure to keep these in for that long. Here are some pics of the corals, question is, are any of these ok for the nano for a while or are any of them suitable for a new established tank? Or should I try to trade them out with the guy who gave them to me, or get store credit for them?
Thank you for the time for reading this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

Put the monties up high and get the zoas off of the lobo, and I think you will be fine for a couple of months. You will just have to really aclimate them to the new lights on the 90 when they go in.

yeah, pull them off by the mat. Wear some eye protection when doing so, becasue they have been known to "spit", and better safe than sorry... Use something like a razor and try and get under the mat and then slowly pull away..

You may have to use some bone cutters to break the zoos off the rock if you aren't able to pull them up..
