Calurpa infestation.
I have a bad caulerpa infestation in my tank. Aside from removing as much of it as I can, is there anything else I can do to get rid of it?

what about your water parameters? high PO4 and NO3 do contribute to algae growth.
Get a tang. they love caulerpa :P

I second this...I had a modest infestation of caulerpa racemosa in my tank that I couldn't seem to keep in check...I even added an urchin that is reputed to like the stuff, but he just wanders around sticking snails to his back (really...its the strangest thing I've ever seen). My tank was fallow due to an ich/velvet issue at the time, but once I added a couple tangs back into the picture, the stuff was gone in a couple days.

SEAHARE, FOXFACE, URCHINs or a whole bunch or rabid snails... take your pic... I rid my hundred of caulerpa with a fox face and a seahare.. they cleared it in a week or 2.

The one species of urchin that eats it is tripneustes gracilis [Foster/Smith]. So somebody had a sea hare eat it? I'm interested in this. My urchin can gnaw down to bare rock, but can't get into the crevices.
Someone also said and confirmed that saltwater mollies will eat it.
