Flow through sump/Skimming

In terms of skimmer efficiency what sort of gph should I shoot for through the sump or does it not matter? Right now I am at about 550 gph and would like to shoot for closer to 900-1000

75 gallon tank with 1.5" drain
40 breeder sump
ASm G-1X skimmer

Thats a load of water running through a sump. Might have problems with Microbubbles.

Yep, too much. You only need about 3-5 times the total volume of whe tank running through the sump. Increasing it won't do much for you in terms of filtration unless you are using a lot of mechanical filtration (but I doubt it). If you are looking to increase circulation, add powerheads or closed loop.

I didnt even think about micro bubbles

I was just looking for a way to increase in tank flow without adding more pumps. Not using any chemical filtration at all. Just the skimmer and fuge..
