How little Phosban can you use in a reactor?
I've heard I should start slow with a Phosban and reactor (1/4 recommended amount). Since I only have a 92 gal tank, that would be very little (don't know the exact quantities). However, the 150 reactor says you should use a minimum of 130g. Are there people out there that use less (a lot less)? I thought this would be good insurance for my tank, but I don't want to screw it up either. Thanks.

I use about 50g each time in my 90 gal and had no issue what-so-ever. Phosphate level in my tank has dropped to 0 within days after I use it. I just replace the media every 2~3 months.

I also use only 50g at a time. But I also add purigen and carbon in with it. There should be nothing wrong with using very little as long as you keep the flow slow so that it doesn't all tumble.

the carbon will expire long before the phosban and carbon is better with more flow so it's better to have more than 1 reactor.
