Internal Cannister Filter: PO4 Removal

Has anybody used one of the small internal cannister filters for phosphate removal? Internally, my stand is maxed out. I was thinking about the prospect of putting one of these filters in my sump and running the phosban (or some other type of GFO agent) within the media tray(s).

Any suggestions on the feasiblity of this? Recommendations for a decent filter for this application?

Thanks,

G

These are both external canisters (I know that the Rena is for sure).

I am looking for user experience with internal (submersible)
canister filters as phos reactors.
