Pump reliability
I am looking at a gen x pcx40 external pump for my return from my sump in the basement up about 10 ft. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how reliable this pump is, or recoment some other pump I should look into. I want to try and keep it under $200

Had one for a year - reliable. Sold it & it's still running as far as I know. Not the quietest pump in the world but it's a good pump.

I'm running the Mak4 (PCX40) on my basement sump with ~ 10' vertical. Its only been running for a month, so I cant comment on reliability. Yes, its on the noisy side, but I dont care. Its in the basement. Its a great value for $120 (Premium Aquatics).

I had my gen x running for about 2.5 years with no problems. Never needed to be serviced

my LFS only has pcx - 40's running his systems. He said he has no problems, but they were too loud for me. I went with PS4 NO NOISE. WIFE IS HAPPY. Had Iwaki 40 lots of flow but noisy and power hungry.
