Water Purification Question

Has anyone looked at the Aquasana AQ-4000 countertop water purifiers? They have a .5 micron filter, ion exchange, carbon filtration, VOC removal, etc. How does this stack up to RO or RO/DI units?

Your bound t find out that hang on the faucet purifiers are a poor econonmy. they don't make much water. See [rodifaq].
