do they filter like (chaeto) plants? remove nitrates and such? or do they just filter nutrients? thanx, ya'll.

Kenya Tree is a coral, not a macro algae.
Why not use chaeto in the first place? |

i have 3 large ones "KT" im considering fragin to my LFS. just checking to see if its a nutrient filter or a water filter. i didnt wanna swap it out if its benificial for filtering.

It's as much of a nutrient filter as the rest of your corals. They use what they need. It's not going to make a dent in the nitrates or phosphates or anything like that by taking it out. There going to get most of their nutrients through the lighting they receive.
Sarduci said it well, it's a coral, not macro algae.

cool, thanx ya'll. they were a gift that kept on giving. started about 1" a year ago, now theyre about 7-8". thanx again, have a great weekend.
