AP24 Need help!

Hi, I am new to Reef Central and saltwater. I have been reading thourgh many fourms and reading alot of books on this subject for a while. I would like to start a FOWLR or Reef Tank. I would like to start with some beginner fish (Clowns, Gobies), a good CUC, and maybe later some sofies( schroom, zoos, xenia). I was wanting some input on this setup.

*Aquapod , 64W Compact Fluorescent System - Includes: Surface skimming filtration system, 1-32W square pin Dual Daylight 10000°K/6700°K Daylight bulb, 1-32W square pin Dual Actinic 460nm/420nm Actinic bulb, 2 blue LED lights, cooling fan, mechanical sponge filter, 290 gph submersible pump with flat nozzle.

I took advise from others on the stie and thought about ditching the ring, the sponge, and the bio balls and replacing the stock pump with the Maxijet 1200.

Can anyone recommend what to do with the chambers? I read someone eles thread that was using CH# 1 Chemi-Pure on bottom, Filter Floss on top. CH#2 Purigen & Heater. CH#3 Maxijet 1200.

And I plan on putting 20lbs of LR. And 20lbs. of LS ( is this ok)!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds Good. I use a chemipure and a poly filter in mine with a maxi 1200 with success. I'll post a pic if I can remember how.

You could keep everything that's in my tank. Softies will do really well. Some LPS will also do well.
