What sump are you using under AGA 120g pine stand?

Just picked one up today and was going to use a 40g breeder for the sump, however, there is a piece of plywood on the bottom that looks to be raised 4 inches or so from the very bottom of the stand. It looks like I may not have enough room to completly remove my skimmer (ASM G-3) for cleanings. I guess I could go with a 30g breeder. What is everyone else using?

Thanks

Does your stand have the raised plywood platform also?

The 30g breeder is the same footprint as the 40g breeder but 4 inches shorter.

the nice thing about the 40 is for the siphon when I turn the main off = no flooding

40B makes a nice sump. Can you modify the stand to make some room?

I think I would have to cut the bottom plywood on the bottom of the stand and I am afraid that would compromise the stability. I am going to run a wavebox in the main tank and want it to be as stable as possible.

I think I will just go with the 30 breeder (36Lx18Wx12H). The only other option would be to use a different skimmer and I paid too much for my ASM G-3!

AGA 30gallon here. 36"lx12w"x18"h. Fits great and I'm using an ASM G3 as well.

HTH,

Mark
