How to move SW tank
I am only four months into my first tank. A 29 gal. has been given to me with LR-fish-etc. How should I break all this down for car transportation.

Depends how far you are going. I have heard that you should pack everything up in coolers. Given that your tank is only a 29 gallon it should only take a few of them. If you are only going in town you could use a few rubbermaid storage bins.

Just a five mile drive. Rubbermaid - just emptied 3 big ones of xmas stuff. Never gave the containers a thought until you turned my light bulb on. Thank you so much from SC.

I moved 100g about 3 miles with rubbermaid containers only, it works. 100#s of LR. 150#s LS. Coral. 5 fish. Everyone made it. It took 12 hours for this and was a complete pain in my butt. 29g should be pretty easy to move with rubbermaid containers.

Just make sure they are clean rubbermaids, take your time, keep the fish in one, the rock in the other, you might be able to get away with keeping the sand in the tank as its only a 29gallon
