...or, what is a really good reason for using the heaviest, densest rock rubble you've got for a coral frag base.

My prized pink tip frogspawn, which has been expanding beyond, perhaps, its point of balance, took a summersalt last night, a real topsy-turvy dive off the top ledge onto the sand next to two expensive frags---and landed upright!

Can you say, reef putty this morning? And I'm real glad its anchor rock is quite dense, which is how it did a full 90 degree rotation.

Salinity 1.024-6; alkalinity 8.3-9.3 on KH scale; calcium 420; magnesium 1300, temp 78-80, nitrate .2. Ammonia 0. No filters: lps tank. Alk and cal won't rise if mg is low.

Current Tank Info: 105g AquaVim wedge, yellow tang, sailfin blenny,royal gramma, ocellaris clown pair, yellow watchman, 100 microceriths, 25 tiny hermits, a 4" conch, 1" nassarius, recovering from 2 year hiatus with daily water change of 10%.

Hermit crabs and snails are terrible about knocking stuff off rocks like that...Probably lucky that everyone is still alive on the floor of the tank
