Do snails need supplemental feeding?
It looks as though my snails have got control over my algae bloom. Now I'm wandering if they need to have a supplemental food source? Right now I have 9 algae eating snails 5 Nassarius snails 1 Serpent Sea Star, and 1 Blue Damsel. I feed 1/2 of a frozen brime cube per day. The tank is a 30 gallon w/30 pounds of live rock and, 40 pounds of live sand.

YES! if there is no algae source or anything for them to eat, they will most certainly die. No question.
