man that looks like a fairly common one. check a book and you should be able to come up with a id fairly quickly. any blue on it? it could be a carpenters flasher. its definately paracheilinus sp.

Check out Rudie H Kuiter's book:
Fairy and Rainbow Wrasses and their relatives - A comprehensive guide to Selected labroids should make ID'ing any wrasse pretty easy. I checked and it certainly looks like a Paracheilinus carpenteri - common carpenter's flasher wrasse. Just as curiosities: Native of Phillipines to Japan and Palau. Closely related to P. mccoskeri and P. flavianalis ( can be distinguished from theseby their red ventral fin or extra short strip above their belly) Felipe |
